| Michigan The
Michigan English Placement Test is given to measure a student's
mastery of the English language. There are four different
kinds of problems:
Listening Comprehension
Grammar
Vocabulary
Reading Comprehension
There are 100 problems on the test. It is a multiple choice
test. After this test you will be asked to do a writing
sample. You will write 3 to 5 paragraphs on a topic like,
" The 21st century has begun. What changes do you think
this century will bring? Use examples and details in your
answer." Or "When students move to a new school,
they sometimes face problems. How can schools help these
students with their problems? Use specific reasons and examples
to explain your answers."
This test is given on scheduled Fridays at 10:00 a.m. in
Maclay Room 100 A or 100 B. You must call 844-7282 to make
an appointment. Plan on 2 hours of time for this test.
