Eligibility Guidelines

All currently enrolled Northeast students, faculty, and staff are eligible for intramural sports and activities with a current NECC photo id.

A player may not play on more than one team in a given sport. Any team permitting an ineligible player to participate automatically forfeits any contest in which that player takes part. Team captains are responsible for the establishment of the eligibility of players on their rosters.

Current members of Northeast intercollegiate athletics are not eligible for intramural sports competition in their respective sports. If an individual is ineligible to compete in a varsity sport due to grades, etc., but does practice regularly with the team is ineligible.

Forfeits are detrimental to the entire program and to those participants who want to play. Competitors/ teams must be ready to play within five (5) minutes of scheduled time. If a competitor/team does not show during the grace period, a win by forfeit will be accredited to the opponent. Incomplete rosters or rosters turned in after the deadline will not be accepted.

Employment

Part-time student intramural assistant jobs are available each year for three or four students who possess good people skills and have leadership ability.
