| Women's Basketball 2008-2009 Recap
The Northeast Community College women’s basketball team finished the 08-09 season with a 25-7 record and a national top 25 ranking. Athleticism, quickness, toughness, and depth were the words that could describe the Northeast women’s basketball team. The team used an up-tempo style of play that helped score over 75 points per game, while holding their opponents under 55 points per game. The team had several players who were capable of producing good numbers and that talented depth is what led to their successes. The team captured the Nebraska Conference Championship for the 14th time in the past 15 years. The team was prepared for a strong run in the regional tourney, but faced some adversity prior to tourney play when Chaudera Riley, the team’s starting post player, was unable to make the trip. The team suffered a disappointing 71-59 second round loss at the hands of a very good Casper team.
