Q&A

Question:
Dear Annie I am wondering if coming into the Norfolk, Northeast Community College as a freshmen if I am required to live on campus, or if I can have the option of living off campus, Amanda

Answer:
Dear Amanda,
As a prospective student as Northeast Community College, you are not required to live on campus at any point. The campus does operate two residence halls for anyone interested in living on campus. If you would like to consider the residence halls as a housing option, please contact Residence Life.

Question:
Dear Annie I am a junior in high school and I am begining to look for colleges. My Problem is that, although I think that I am intelligant I don't have the best grades (low B's and C's ) and I am afraid I won't be able to find a college what do you think?

Answer:
Dear College Seeker,
If you are the B/C student you state you are, you are still eligible for acceptance at many colleges. Each institution has its own academic standards that must be met for admission, so I would encourage you to contact the registrar offices of the colleges you are most interested in. NECC’s registrar office number is 844-7265. It is also important to know that colleges look at your extracurricular activities and community involvement, as well. You may have strengths in one area that help to counter balance some weaknesses in another.
